FROST BITE: CHAPTER 1

                     Prologue

"I'm scared mama," I say looking up at her still not comprehending what was going on.

"Don't worry baby, they are here to help," she says holding my hand protectively in hers.

The men around us started moving towards us slowly, their faces were hidden behind huge black cloaks which made them look more scary. I subconsciously moved  and hid behind my mama. I closed my eyes waiting for the worst but it never came, I slowly entangle my self from her and looked forward the cloaked men were standing still.

"What do you want Diana?  You know you aren't welcomed here," a man says emerging from the shadows.

" I need your help Eliphas," Mama says looking at him.

" And why should we help you?" he asks "you and your sister  betrayed us after all,"

"I know you are mad-

A dark chuckle that makes me shiver cuts through the air.

"Mad. No no no saying I am mad is an understatement. I am furious. Your little game caused the death of many of our own," he  says

"Please just listen you can do whatever you want with me I don't care but I need you to protect him," she says pulling me from behind her. I look up and meet with Eliphas's questioning gaze.

" An Andri. Interesting, I haven't seen one in a long time. who's is it?" he asks kneeling beside me.

"Idril," mama says with a low voice looking down, "she slept with a demon."

"So she got a child and now she wants to dump her responsibilities on us?"

"No she got a child and raised him, then she got killed trying to save him,"

" What do you mean?"

"Some people broke into the house and caught her unprepared they killed her, I got their before they managed to hurt him," she says

"So what do you want us to do exactly," Eliphas asks standing up walking towards us his eyes were black.

"Mama?"

"Its okay honey he wants to help,"

" I want you to keep him here and protect him," she says making my eyes widen.

"You know nothing comes for free, especially to a traitor," Eliphas says.

" I know. Take this," She says giving him a small black bag. Eliphas looks inside it and smiles.

"Your soul ring. You know you wont survive a day without it," he says

" I just want the child safe till he is ready to fight," she says. Eliphas snaps his fingers and one of the men with black cloaks steps forward and grabs me by my shoulder. Mama looks at me with sad eyes.

"Whats going on mama?" I ask scared.

"Don't worry baby its for the best,"

"I don't understand mama what is for the best?" I ask and she doesn't answer. she smiles sadly and starts walking away.

"Mama?" I call but she doesn't answer  I try to free my self from the mans iron grip but to know avail  "Mama?"

My voice was wavering by now.

"I don't wanna do this any more mama," I say still trying to get free.

Eliphas stands infront of me and looks me in the eye.

" Don't worry child, after this night you wont remember anything at all," He says in a tone so different than the one he used on mama he sounded nice...

"I want my mama back," I say making him chuckle.

"I know you do," he says running his finger down my face the action was making me sleepy.

"Will you take me to her ? " I ask in high hopes.

"Only if you behave. will you do that for me?" he asks. I nod my head suddenly feeling tired, I slowly lean on the person behind me darkness suddenly enveloping me.

The last thing I heard was a melodious voice...

 " Sleep tight child."

  1. Longevity is so simple The mainland of Kyushu is vast and rich in resources. It is mainly divided into five states: East, West, South, North, and Central. It is further subdivided into four small states: Northeast, Southeast, Northwest, and Southwest. Human races and monks live together, and there are a few monster races in it.  This is the world Gu Changsheng currently lives in.  When Changsheng first came here, because the aura in his body was inconsistent with his soul, he could not speak, hear, and see. He could only feel the cold and hot of the outside world on his skin, so he did not lose contact with the outside world.    Changsheng remembers his previous life. In his last life, he was only a senior in high school. During his graduation trip, the tour bus was involved in a serial car accident on the highway. He became dizzy the next thing he knew he was born and became a new member of the mainland of Kyushu.    And he was living a little... well...    Changsheng is optimist

Chufeng City.  He almost tipped over again when his boat buzzed.  When he heard the sound of laughter from outside, he rubbed his eyes and opened the small window to look out, using his consciousness to search, he saw two balls of spiritual energy surrounding  two people, and one of them shouted to him:  "No one is allowed to fly through the city of Chufeng on a boat or in a magic vessel.”  Chufeng City was very large, and it is the most prosperous city in Nanzhou. There are all kinds of cultivators coming and going at the gate of the city, some are well-dressed, some were immortal, and some are in tatters and patches.  A few people also glanced at him. If Changsheng could see them, he would definitely see the teasing in their eyes: Look, it's another fledgling kid who doesn't know the rules and wanders out!  It's just that Changsheng's eyes were not good, and his spiritual consciousness could only see a blurry image. What he sees when he looks at something, depe

Xiao niao(little bird) took Changsheng to find an inn.   Chufeng deserves to be the largest city in the southern state. It is located at the foot of Lingtian Mountain where there is a high-grade spiritual vein passing beneath it. It is also the place where Lingtian Sect is located and it was one of the largest sects in the southern state. Taking advantage of time and space, the cultivators here can still get their spiritual energy into their bodies even if they lie down to sleep and do not practice.  Xiao niao chirped and quacked in Changsheng's ear, saying whatever came to mind, and Changsheng listened with relish.  When they entered the inn, the inn was also very people-oriented, ordinary people were not allowed to stay, nor were low level cultivators. The owner of the inn came up and glanced at Changsheng without any trace. Before Changsheng could speak, the bird spit out a piece of top-quality spirit stone from its mouth: "Give us a place to stay, It doesn't matter i
